I think it’s different for everyone, when I saw a podiatrist about my Achilles tendinitis (still got it) he encouraged me to get flat, hard shoes without bounce. Then I was to put in a heel wedge he gave me.
I did, I spent good money and they were terrible. The wedge wouldn’t stay put, the hard doles hurt when I walked, and I found the effect of shortening the Achilles for a few hours just made it burn all the more when I took them off.
I can’t get along with heels, even low ones, either.
