Hi Aalf yes as Fred has pointed out there are many options and it does depend on the severity of your psoriasis what they are likely to offer
Cortisone creams tend to be a first step for mild psoriasis and are the least potent creams they can prescribe
And you will be lucky if they clear your skin ..you said in an earlier post that the dermatologists will only vary the cortisone treatment they will offer...
Like Fred I don't know your system but I know that if the psoriasis is spreading over the rest of your body after previously being just in your scalp..it's time to move on to a different treatment and there are many as Fred has pointed out
Personally I would get on to my dermatologist and tell them that cortisone is less than useless and you need to be on something to tackle the root of the problem and a good place to start is with an oral systemic treatment. But not knowing how things work in Oz it's difficult to know their protocol ...but I would think cortisone is their cheap starting position ...make a fuss and read up on here about the various treatments that are available and go and argue for something to help you, not something to keep their budget down
But it's up to you the natural route might just work , but I have never had the will or inclination to deny myself the food I like
