Hello SVP to Psoriasis Club.
At least you're going to see a dermatologist it's important to get with one as soon as possible as they can work with you to find something that will work for your condition.
I understand you thinking on yourself as looking ugly, but try not to do that as a negative attitude will make it worse. I know it's not easy, but the more you accept it and share with others the easier your journey will be.
You can still go on your vacation, most people probably won't even notice as they are on vacation too. In the very unlikely event that someone does make a nasty comment just tell them that Psoriasis can strike anyone at any time and they could be next.
We don't care what you look like, so just dive on in because we've seen it all before and you will find a friendly bunch who do understand how you feel.
I'm not sure about your health system, but your dermatologist will probably start you off on some creams. But I would say take it slow and follow what they tell you before reading up to much about the different treatments. We have all the information about the various treatments and there is usually someone around using one form or another, so once you know what your dermatologist wants to try just ask us and I'm sure you will get answers.
Regards.
Fred.
