Back Into Hell

Well I am gutted!
Managed to get my feet clear ( if still sensitive and itchy ), got up this morning and the yellow pustules are back.
Covering the sides of both feet and two toenails.

This is quite a step back.
I am going to let the consultant know and suggest I go up to 20mg (currently on 15mg). Unless my bloods say otherwise, I don't think this is an unreasonable request.
And it was all going so well.

Oh bugger just as it was sounding like things where going in the right direction, lets' hope upping to 20mg makes a difference.

I still cannot grasp why he took you off your original medicaion. That was an easy action for him but he apparantly had not overseen the results that could occur and did occur.

Well the pustules have disappeared but my feet are still super sensitive.
Feelings range from pins & needles to sore to a kind of ice-burn ( hope that makes sense). Also my ankles are killing me. Hope that's from lack of exercise and not anything else.

Perhaps I am just too impatient. I was told that it could take 12+ weeks to see any benefits.
Psychologically it has been traumatic. Going from working a full time job ( consisting of walking, catching 4 buses a day and being out of the house for 12 hours ) to absolute zero contact with the outside world is pretty extreme.

Thank goodness for my online buddies.

Have to say, the Universe has kind of compensated for us. My O/H now has two jobs that slot neatly around each other so paying bills is not going to be an issue. Our son will be meeting a Short Breaks Worker soon who will be able to help him access all the Deaf and Hard Of Hearing group activities he has been missing out on. The boy is going to have a better social life than me.

These little things do help to take away some niggles and that helps me relax a bit.
So onwards and upwards.

Well all in all it's sounding better than the other day, but like you say it can take time so yes you have to be a patient patient

Sounding good to me BRIGHTEYES you are certainly improving, but yes it will be a while till you are back to normal. I know it must be frustrating for you, wanting to get on with your life, but just think only a month ago you could barely move so although it seems like an eternity to you.........in the grand scheme of things it's quite a short time and a remarkable turn round

I have a deaf grandson who is 13 yo he was deaf from birth he had cochlear implants last year and they have really helped him. I know Charlie has a great life with outings with the local deaf society
I hope your son gets some enjoyment from the activities

Hopefully you will be able to venture out again shortly, just take it steady, and good luck

What a difference the sun makes.
It's lovely here today and I have been sat outside topping up my vitamin D.
We have relatives coming down from Scotland this week and a couple of meals out booked. Father in law is paying so I can afford taxis to and from the eateries.
I have not been out of the house ( other than hospital ) since 10th of February so really looking forward to it.
Will have plenty of padding on my feet though.
I still have raw skin on both feet ( 50% each ) but feel a lot more relaxed at the moment.

Glad to hear you're going to be able to get out. The sun is good medicine in a lot of ways

Very true Brighteyes it's been lovely and sunny here as well and although I'm virtually clear I grab all the sun I can get..... Glad it's cheered you up.... Hopefully we have more in store next week  
I hope you stay well enough to enjoy your meals out, it will be good to be able to relax a bit ....
I do hope your feet start to heal soon .... But good to get the positive update that things are moving in the right direction
