I use head and shoulders itchy scalp, it works for me and is a god send, i did use neutrogena  but kids started to complain about the stink, they i got told about hand and shoulders and haven't looked back since, its been about 11 years now i started using it

It's great you have found a shampoo that works for you, isn't it strange how what works for one doesn't always work for others .
I find head and shoulders always makes my scalp itchy so at the moment I just use a regular shampoo and wash it out quickly, my scalp is pretty clear at the moment but if psoriasis comes back I still have a bottle of polytar shampoo in my cupboard

Until I figure out what makes my psoriasis get worse, because it seems like everything under the sun (but not including the sun) makes it worse, I haven't been using any soap or shampoo, I just shower with really hot water. once a week I use a small dab of baby shampoo on my hair, but I'm super careful because my skin is so sensitive any shampoo I use makes my back break out. It was a pure stroke of miracle I figured out that it was shampoo that was giving me back acne. The only shampoo I might consider using again was the mint bronners pure castile soap.

Go easy on the hot water, I have tried to slowly get to warm vs hot showers as hot water helps dry out the skin by reducing natural oils. I remember years ago hearing that you should start with hot water to open the pores but finish with cool water.... I never made it to the cool water though as the hot water felt so good ... but seems it's a bit hard on the skin.

I had the same thing with head and shoulders, it seemed to make my head itch even more. I haven't had much luck with shampoos (I think I've tried all the dandruff ones, I haven't tried any with tar yet) other than Suave with coconut oil. I really didn't think it would help (and it doesn't really) but I have far less itchiness after washing my hair than before, plus it make my hair shine.
